I worked with Danny at Shell Bank for many years, before I retired in 2008. I was deeply saddened to hear of Danny's passing, and so sorry I found out too late to pay my respects. He was such a cheerful and determined man, and so much a part of the fabric of our school. I looked forward to his hello's and his sense of humor. My deepest condolences to all his family members. He was one of a kind, and will be missed

Both Nick and Celeste were the most supportive and loving parents. They took what was a tragedy and step by step built a happy and productive life for Danny. He did more in his lifetime than most healthy individuals ever do. He loved life and accepted the challenges he faced each day. A gentle soul, intelligent, politically savvy, with a great sense of humor. He was an inspirational example of courage. He will always hold a special place in my heart. God bless you Danny.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to my longtime Hendrickson St. friends, the Andruzzi family– Joey, Kim, Ava . . . and most of all, their wonderful mother. I'm so glad I had the opportunity this past year to reconnect and spend some time with Mrs. Andruzzi and Danny. Dan was an inspiration to us all. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. God bless you, Danny.

I know Danny from Project Happy for the last five years. He was always determined in the weight room. He was stubborn. He was funny. He loved to sing and sometimes dance to the music. He always made me smile. I am honored to have shared 5 years with him. I will miss him tremendously. My thoughts to his family in losing a special, special soul.

To the Andruzzi Family, I am heartbroken about Danny. He was an inspiration to every person who knew him. I remember when he went for cancer tumor treatment in 3rd grade. I did not understand it then, but I know now through the years how driven he was to succeed. He worked extremely hard to regain his life. His story is a model that your family will be proud of as you look back over the years of his wonderful life. Celebrate your Son, Brother and Uncle. A good man with the kindest of hearts. I will miss him. Rest in peace my gentle Friend. I love you, Charles
