To the Licata family
This is Aletha Fields. I grew up with Lillian on East 29th Street
I have childhood memories of Miss Licata and her husband.
I remember how kind and sweet her mother was to us as kids when we would meet at her house and the group of us walked to Holy Cross School
I was recently was in contact with Mario Giscomb from the block and googled Lillian to discover that her mom had recently died
My sympathy to her family

My prayers are with the family and all who knew and loved Julia. She was my next door neighbor on E 54th Street. I moved into the co-op 4 and 1/2 years ago, and from day one, she was welcoming, kind and very supportive. Julia never forgot to give me a christmas card or present every year. We often met on the front step to shovel snow during a blizzard or on the way out to church on a Sunday morning. I cannot believe her age as she was certainty more active than me! My heart broke when I heard the news 2 days ago of her passing. I saw the ambulance Monday morning (7/4/16) and peeped inside and she looked okay. I thought for sure she would bounce back like previous times. I so did not expect to hear that she went home to be with the Lord. I will miss her gardening tips and our talks regarding celebrity news. She was a light in my life that will never be forgotten. May she sleep in heavenly peace. With love and prayers,
Cheryll

Julia was such a quiet, kind, and loving soul. Our family is shocked and saddened at the loss. Her presence will be greatly missed at family events. May God support and bless Julia's family and friends with faith, peace, and love at this very difficult time.
