Ive known John since we were kids. I'll never forget his smile. He was always smiling. :) He was a true blue friend and he will be missed. I have alot of memories with him. I'm still in disbelief that he is gone :( To his family I am so sorry for your loss and I will be praying for you all.

My deepest condolences. I'm so shocked and saddened by this tragedy. I have nothing but the fondest memories of John and your entire family since I was six years old. He will always be in my prayers as are you now too. My old friend John. When I look back, I reminisce about the many different clusters of friends I accumulated, during different periods of my life. As I access the various clusters, I can quickly discern those of whom were simply outstanding. John is among the collective handful of those who I would characterize as being at the top of the heap. I used to marvel at how indifferent he would be about pretty much anything that was occuring around us- Whether it was funny, frieghtening, or foolish, he always seemed to maintain a balanced reaction.
You can always tell a person is good, when you use them as a barometer to determine whether or not you are a good person. If John liked you, you must be a decent human. If he did not gravitate towards you, well, maybe you didn't like Rock ;-P
John was certainly part of my Rock era, a great time in my life.
Being candid, we did not communicate very often, but when we did run into one another, it was always a great time. Over the years I called upon John to handle my plumbing, as well as my parents and other friends whom I referred him to. When it was time to work, I knew I can trust him to get the job done. I also called upon his brother Brian, when my father needed a very large tree taken down from the side of his house. My father is an old school man, so he is always skeptical. Brian showed up and dismantled a tree that took 45 years to ascend above my fathers home, in under an hour. To say the least, my father was impressed. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the entire Griffin, and Yobs family's. To his many friends, I share in your sadness. This was a truly good hearted person, who only precipitated smiles, when he was in our presence. I'm genuinely saddened by this loss. May God bless John with peace in heaven, a place that should be populated with people who share the inherent goodness John possessed on earth.
