Obituary of Teddy Moeser

Teddy Moeser died on February 22, 2017, after a long hard fought decline. She was 69. The daughter of James & Anna Burns, she was born November 28, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY. Teddy was Baptized Theodora A. Moeser, which led to the start of a life dedicated to The Church. She served as a teacher for almost 20 years at St. Brendan RC Grammar School until her health required her to retire. She served as the only and current President of The Brendan House, an advocate for Senior living. It was not the case that Teddy's life was St. Brendan's but rather St. Brendan's gained so because of her life. Through her vocation as an educator, love of the choir, instrumental in the construction of its Chapel and commitment to The Brendan House. Through her devout ministry to God's people, children and the Parish The Sisters of Mercy proudly adopted her as if one of their own. Teddy leaves behind Sr. Mary Towers RSM, a devoted caregiver, friend and life partner that certainly enabled the fact that Teddy's life would of been hastened without her. Dear sister of Chuck Kurtz, his wife Laura, Mary Marchese, the late Gail Sheehan and Mickey Aziz. Devoted aunt of Caren Sheehan by name along with other fond nieces & nephews. Reposing Sunday 2 to 5 & 7 to 9:00PM. Funeral Mass Monday 9:30AM St. Brendan R.C. Church. Burial to follow Holy Cross Cemetery, Bklyn.
