Obituary of Terrence M. Flaherty

Terrence Flaherty passed away on April 22, 2107. He was the beloved son of the late Patrick and Jeanne (nee Kentler) Flaherty. Terrence was the loving brother of Patrick Flaherty Jr, Susan Pickens, Barbara O'Shea, Robert Flaherty, the late John Flaherty, Brian Flaherty, and Noreen Reyes. Terrence was a dear uncle and friend to many. Terrence was an avid runner - running 49 marathons all over the world. On his 40th birthday he celebrated by running 4 marathons in 4 weeks. Terrence was a proud Veteran, serving with the United States Air Force. After completing his time in the service, he worked for the New York City Transit Authority where he made many close friendships. The visitation for Terrence will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Tuesday April 25, 2017 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM, and 7:00 - 9:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church at 9:30 AM - the family will be meeting at the funeral home at 8:30 AM. The Committal Service will be at St. John Cemetery immediately following the Funeral Mass.
