My deepest sympathy for your loss. There are no words that I can possibly share with you to stop the emotional pain.Having your son be part of my sons life for so many years it was hard to hear what happened. Its just impossible to think that part of their togetherness has ended. Being a strong follower and believer of our Lord Jesus, I searched my tool of life (Bible) for comforting words to share with you. The first question we always ask is why, and although he may not provide the answer we still want to know he will be there for us through our sorrow and pain and gives us strength through connecting with him. But the reality is Mike is sleeping, no more worries, no more anxiety, no more problems, He is just in a deep sleep. I think our Lord gives us a preview on how to understand how death is every time we lay our heads down to sleep to rest.. .Our bodies are still but our spirit is alive until we start a new day. Your son will wake up again one day when our Lord comes back to us. Its his promise and its where our hope is. No differences in his eyes no matter who you are in life great or small, good our not everyone has the same outcome some sooner than others. But we will all be together again in the future. His soul and spirit lives!!!!

It is with heavy heart finding out that Michael Franco a brother official of the PSAL and USA Wrestling in Freestyle and Greco have passed away. He was a great contributor to our sport paying it forward like those who came before us to provide and fair playing ground for everyone who step on the mat with us as competitors and officials. We use to work so well together and he was balance and fair to everyone around him with a passion for making the right calls. Michael Franco was trying to make his way back into the wrestling officiating ranks but his timing delayed the process as the season was already on the way. Here today and now gone but will never be forgotten by all those who knew him. My deepest condolences to the Franco family.
