CROCKETT – Freddie on July 26, 2017. Retired Detective Sgt NYPD, Intelligence Division/Gang Unit. U.S. Navy Veteran, Korea, USS Henley DD-762. Founding member and first President of the NYPD Navy Association. Founding member of the NYC Transit Police Irish War Pipe Band. Bagpiper for the NYPD Pipes & Drums. Beloved husband of the late Sophia. Devoted father of Fred (Kathy), Patrick (Melinda), Stephen (Donna), Paul (Penelope), and the late Daniel. Loving grandfather of 15 and great grandfather of 3. Dear brother of Thomas and the late Ann Mahoney. Beloved uncle and friend to many. The visiation for Freddie Crockett will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 PM & 7:00 - 9:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church on Monday July 31, 2017 - the family will meet at the funeral home by 9:00 AM. The Committal Service will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmindale, New York.
