I'm so very sorry for your loss. Nothing prepares us to face the empty feeling left behind in our heart without their presence. Although nothing will quite fill that empty spot, you may find comfort in reading what is written in Isaiah 25:8 and John 11:25. Those two promises helped me significantly through a loss, that in one month will have been a year. It doesn't miraculously eliminate the pain, but it helps to soften the intensity of it to read and meditate on the lovely words there, and in addition with time, it helps to heal the wound. I hope that you find all the time you need, can reminisce on the lovely memories made and shared with Elisa, and that the scriptures provide you with some sort of hope through this difficult time.
