Obituary of Holly McBean - Sheeger

Holly McBean - Sheeger, age 66, of Brooklyn passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018. Holly was born March 27, 1952 in Queens, NY. She is the daughter of the late George McBean and the late Eleanor Daisley. Beloved step-daughter of the late Alice McBean. Devoted wife of the late Floyd Sheeger. Loving mother of Ariel Sheeger and Reyna Sheeger. Cherished sister of Gina Linton. Dear cousin of Jean Boudwin.

Death is nothing at all – I have only slipped away into the next room.  Whatever we were to each other, we are still.  Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used to.  Laugh as you always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together, play, smile, think of me, pray for me.  Let my name be the household word that it always was.  Let it be spoken without effort.  Life means all that it ever meant.  It is the same as it ever was; There is absolutely unbroken continuity.  Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight?  I’m but waiting for you for an interval, somewhere very near just around the corner.  All is well. Reposing Monday, August 6 from 4:00 - 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM at the funeral home, followed by family reflections.
