Obituary of Gerard Bennett

Gerard Thomas Bennett of Brooklyn, NY passed on August 26, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Dolores Bennett and dear father of Mary Ellen Cann and Therese Bennett. Adored grandfather of Elizabeth, Kathleen and William. Brother of the late James Bennett and Bernadette Bennett. Survived by siblings Mary Burke, Margaret Moran, Patricia Donovan and John Bennett. Retired from Banker’s Trust, proud World War II veteran, celebrated story teller, skilled Lindy hopper and devoted Mets fan.

The visitation for Gerard Bennett will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Wednesday August 29, 2018 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM & 7:00 - 9:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Edmund Roman Catholic Church on Thursday August 30, 2018 at 9:45 AM - the family will be meeting at the fuenral home by 8:45 AM. The Committal Service will be held immediately following the Funeral Mass at Long Island National Cemetery.
