I was a student of Professor Kennelley in 1972; he was an excellent teacher. Several years after graduation, we met again at a civil trial where I was a Police Sergeant testifying about an escalator incident at the Bus Terminal. We both had to tell the judge about our prior collegial connection. I still have my memo book that was marked as an exhibit.
In 1973 I became an attorney and hopefully, have emulated the Franciscan manner in which he practiced our profession
May God Bless him and keep him safe

Dear Pat and Family,
My deepest condolences to all of you! Don was a wonderful man who was always a joy to be with! I respected him as a Professor and colleague. He was always welcoming and gracious to me and to all he interacted.
I remember being with him and you on those spectacular trips around the world!
I will miss him deeply!
Sincerely,
Frank Sorrentino

I’d like to express my heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of the late Mr. Kennelly. Nothing compares to the anguish we feel when we lose our loved ones. There is no way to prepare for the emotions that accompany it. And once we’ve experienced it, it can be difficult to find real and lasting comfort. I’d like to shar something that helped me personally when my family and I experienced a loss a short time ago. John 5.28,29 says “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out”. Imagine how wonderful it will be to have our loved ones reunited with us! At the moment the wound of Mr. Kennelley’s passing is recent, but I sincerely hope that with time and this wonderful promise, you may be able to heal and feel comforted until the day arrives that you will be reunited again.
