Joseph, Chris, Cathy and your families,
I’m so sorry about your Dad’s passing. I realize (a lot like my father) that his later years involved a lot of health issues and treatments, but again, like my father, he dealt with it all stoically without complaint.
Most importantly, despite it all, he lived long enough to see all his grandchildren born and grown into young adults. I know they brought him joy and pride as well the pride he felt for you and your spouses.
I’m sorry I couldn’t be there to participate in his services.
My condolences to all and my best wishes to your families. I hope to see you all again sometime soon in the future.

My deepest sympathy for Joseph Cole. He has been part of my teenage years while growing up as very good friend of his Son Joe Cole Jr. My memories of Mr Cole is very clear....a man of respect, dignity and honorable.
He was a role model for his family and always welcomed his son's friends as family. His career in law enforcement carried an enormous amount of knowledge.
His words of wisdom,advise and every day general comunication when ever in his company, was valued and significant to all that new him from being friends with his son Joe cole. He will be forever missed i always wanted to work in law enforcement. Mr. Cole guided me whenever I came to him regarding a future with law enforcement. He gave nothing less than good helpful advice. He was a neighbor man who kept low key. He was a reserved man who earned respect.

Although I have not seen Joe lately, I live in Florida, we kept in touch. He was a good friend, a good cop and great co-worker. Upon retirement we tried opening a bar - restaurant together in a remote neighborhood of Bergen Beach. It was a fun time, even though it failed, we had one hell of an experience. He will be sorely missed. RIP Brother!
