Obituary of Irene A. Breen

Irene A. Breen, age 85, of Brooklyn entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Irene was born November 3, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY to Edward and Irene Breen. Devoted sister of Bishop Vincent Breen and Monsignor Edward Breen. Irene was a graduate and proud alumnus of St. Joseph’s College. She was a caring, devoted educator for the hearing impaired. Irene was a faithful lifetime member of Our Lady Help of Christians Roman Catholic Parish. She was a eucharistic minister and secretary of the parish council. Irene enjoyed summer vacations in Maine as well as frequenting local restaurants. She will be remembered for her dry sense of humor.

Forever In Our Hearts

Reposing Friday, November 16 from 2:00 - 7:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.

Funeral on Saturday November 17, 2018. Friends and family are welcomed to meet at the funeral home by 8:15AM.

Final prayer will be conducted at the funeral home by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio at 9:00 AM Sharp. 

Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:45 AM on Saturday, November 17 at Our Lady Help Of Christians R.C. Church, 1315 East 28th Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Burial to immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn.
