Obituary of Charles Otero

Charles Otero, Sr, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. Charles was born in Manhattan, NY. Charles is the son of the late Gilberto and the late Angelina Otero. Beloved Brother to the late Gilberto Otero Jr. Charles was employed by New York City Police Department and earned the rank of Sergeant before retiring. He was a member of the New York City Police Department Iberian Society, Casa Galicia, and the Knights of Columbus. Charles is survived by his loving wife Kathleen Otero; his loving children Jennifer (Nazzareno) Callipo, Julie (Dave) Hansen and Charles Otero Jr.; cherished grandchildren Francesco, Lorenzo, Matteo and Raleigh; beloved sisters Olivia Otero and Ines Otero; beloved brother in law Jorge Perez; adoring aunt Plazeres Fernandez, uncle Tony (Cynthia) Allen, aunt Victoria Mullon, and loving nieces and nephews Olivia, Christina, Crystal, Jonathan, Tony and dear cousins.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 5 to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 2-5 and 7-9 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church, 129-16 Rockaway Beach Blvd, Belle Harbor, NY.
