Dear Irsula and Family, Thank you for sharing such a generous man with all of us. When I think of Russ, I can't help but think of all the help he gave to me to help the poor. He certainly was a compassionate and generous man who recognized Jesus in the distressing disguise of the poorest of the poor. May he rest in peace!

I still remember the day that Russ was in the hospital and his family had just left after visiting all day. The cardiologist walked in at 6:45 pm and told him he was discharged. I knew he really wanted to go home that night so we packed him up and I drove him to Harbor Light where is family was having dinner. Russ appeared at their table with a big smile and poor Ursula looked like she had seen a ghost. He looked so happy as he sat down to join his family.

I first met John andUrsula when my daughter, Tracy,
Married married their first born, John. Me being a very
Apprehensive mother of six, from a small midwestern town,
Where everyone knows everyone thought, New York!!!,
That’s almost unthinkable! Then I met the famous Sullivan
Duo. What an incredibly generous, gracious, kind and sincere couple. Since that long ago meeting I’ve had the privilege of sharing time and life with John and Ursula and
Always enjoyed it.. and yes , they treated my daughter
Very well. John was a strong family man and a friend
To many. He was our gentle giant. Rest In Peace John.

May he rest in peace and cherish the memories.

I have the greatest respect, love, and admiration for Mr. Sullivan. He was a giant and the epitome of what it is to be a dad. A true patriot who, along with his incredibly devoted wife, raised a who's who of seven incredible boys who are a role model to all. The service he and his family have given to our county is unsurpassed by any other family I know. God bless you, Mr. Sullivan, I know you are with Him for all eternity. You will always have a special place in my heart.

We met Russ and Ursula when my sister and Eddie started dating. They always treated everyone like family. Such fond memories! They raised seven amazing children and 16 beautiful grandchildren. There marriage was an inspiration of love of family, God, and, eachother. Russ was such a down to earth man who when u learned of his accomplishments you truly learned the real definition and meaning of “selfless and humble”. It was so sad to see this larger than life man battle such a dibilitating disease- but as usual- with the love of God and family- he showed us all that he would continue to be that humble and selfless man, that he had always been, even throughout his most difficult journey. Rich and I will forever be grateful for meeting such an inspirational man who always put his family first .May he Rest In Peace knowing his family legacy will continue and he will now be reunited with his beloved mom (a.k.a.) Grandma Alice!
