Sadly we say goodbye to an amazing woman in our family. She was such a driving force in our lives, making it a point to be ever present, and making sure we knew how much she loved us.
There are so many wonderful things to remember about her, and so many things to be grateful to her for.
She showed us what true strength looks like, it was something that could not be matched. No matter the challenges, she faced everything
Laughter was her staple in her life, and all who knew her, truly enjoyed being in her company.
Nothing brought her greater joy than her love for her family and friends, and everything Irish. Her love and pride for both were unwavering.
She led by example, teaching us to be proud of our heritage, to be loyal in our friendships, take great pride in our family and above all else love each other
Her life was a true representation of the Irish Claddagh
Although we are so sad to say goodbye, it brings us such solace to know she is finally at peace and back with those who loved her first. I promise we will be smiling through tears every time we think and speak of you.

Sheila, I'll miss your phone call every few weeks and all our trips to the Catskills with the Irish music blasting! You made friends where ever we went and a fabulous dancer especially the old time waltz and the lindy! You were the life of the party and enjoyed life to it's fullest!

Aunt Sheila, we miss you already. Our hearts are a little heavier today, but the memories you’ve given us will last a lifetime and will never be forgotten; the weekly spaghetti-and-meatball dinners wearing the bib that Mom made for you to the countless trips to the park, pizza and Carvel, and the cakes you always brought for Dad. You were always the life of the party with your infectious laugh. We will always carry a piece of you with us and you will always be remembered with love…your nieces and nephews xoxo

Rest In Peace Sheila. I will never forget you and all the good memories of our time spent together, especially Sunday nights at the Ashford Arms, singing Irish songs, laughing and dancing the night away.
May you find peace and comfort as you are reunited with loved ones in heaven.
Love and prayers to the family.

Sheila, You will be missed dearly. You were a great friend to me. I will always remember our good times together from the Sunday night dances at Saint Theresa to our frequent trips to Karp’s for egg creams. Those were the “good old days.”
May God keep you close in his loving arms.

Sheila had the most infectious laugh, only to be matched by her loving sisters and brother that usually chimed in.
There wasn't an irish song she didn't know, nor a waltz she couldn't dance to.
She was the lover of life, and a loyal friend.
East Durham indeed was her home away from home, and to think of the many friends she met even for just a few weeks out of the year. Many fond memories I'm sure.
We'll miss you Sheila, our hearts are saddened. But you are with yet again more family and friends that have missed you. They will all be waiting to welcome you home.
Rest In Peace Sheila

Dear Florence & the entire Moore Family,
I'd like to share a few memories of such a beautiful woman. Although she never had children of her own, she treated her 7 nieces & nephews as her own. I admired her in the early years as each Saturday she travelled to Bergen Beach and took the kids for pizza and carvel. Her great love of her Irish heritage was so evident every time you heard her singing along with the Irish singers like Dermod Henry, Al Logan, and Frank Patterson to name a few. They all knew her and treated her royally as they performed each summer in East Durham, better known as the "Irish Alps". She made several trips to Ireland to visit family and even sought Dual citizenship in a country she truly loved. She was a great friend and loving sister-in-law and will truly be missed. I believe she is dancing her way around heaven and enjoying all the Moore's and McCarthy's who have gone before her. Watch over us dear angel.
Love and prayers.
