Obituary of Paulette Previl Galette

Paulette Previl Galette passed away surrounded by her children on Friday, March 13, 2020. She was 83 years old. Paulette was the beloved wife of 50 years to the late Fritz Galette, Sr. She was the loving mother to Paule (Vincent) and Fritz Jr. (Helen). She was the loving grandmother of Constance, Nicholas, Christopher, Rhea and Darius. She is the dear sister of Ermite, sister-in-law of Lucienne, and sister of the late Andre, Gerard and Germaine. Paulette was born in Haiti and moved to the United States in the 1960’s. She settled down in Brooklyn, New York where she worked, married, and raised her children. Paulette was a devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother of  5. She was also the best of godmothers; she had quite a number of godchildren who adore her. She loved being a registered nurse so much she finally retired in her 70s. There are so many wonderful things to say about Paulette, but one thing everyone knew is she was lovingly faithful to God, and deeply devoted to her children and family. We were so blessed to have her in our lives for so long. An angel on earth that we are praying earned her saint status in the house of Our Lord, and someone that will pray for us in Heaven.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
