The world lost a great man. Uncle Bernie was one of my favorite family members. He always seemed larger than life when I was a kid when my family went camping with him, Aunt Mickey, Christopher and John. He was also the smoothest dancer I ever saw. A more gentle and kind man could never be found. He was one of the great ones and the world is darker without him. I hope he and Christopher watch every Rangers game together when the season returns.

Uncle Bernie holds a special place in our hearts and that of my children. No matter the distance, he was loved so very dearly by us all. My children hold very fond memories especially little Georgie who shared a special bond with both Uncle Bernie and Aunt Mickey. We love you, we always will, we wish we were able to say goodbye-George, Maria, George IV and Alyssa Veit.
