Obituary of Ann Marie Sabol Stefanuk

Ann Marie Sabol Stefanuk, 70, died on Friday, April 3, 2020. She was born in Brooklyn to George and Irene Moran Sabol. Ann Marie was a Registered Nurse, long associated with Caledonian/Brooklyn Hospital ER. She tended to the medical needs and anxieties of family, friends, and strangers throughout her life. Ann Marie was a graduate of Stella Maris High School, received her R.N. at CUNY Kingsborough, and a B.S. in Health Care Management at St Francis College.

Ann Marie is survived by her brother George and his wife Janet, Aunt Dorothy Gilmartin, many loved cousins-Geiers, Gilmartins, and Morans; cherished friends: Della Bella/Frankel families, Margaret Mitchell, also many others especially her aide Christine Dacosta, and her neighbors the Barides family.

She was a generous supporter of St Brendan’s Parish and Catholic causes.

The family is very thankful for the long care of Doctors Abayev and Manvar.

Ann Marie will be laid to rest with her parents and sister Maureen on April 13, 2020 at 8:30 A.M. at St Charles-Resurrection Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held at a future date.
