I worked with Mildred for many years at United Cerebral Palsy. She was took care of both staff and clients as if everyone was her own child.Everyone adored Mildred and could count on her for sound advise. She always spoke about her family whom she adored. I remember Mildred and Frank had the old station wagon. She would always say things like, I have tell Frank to speed up, he drives like an old woman. LOL that was our loving, spirited nurse Mildred!

In the summer of 2017 I took a tour of my childhood home with my best friend and showed her my best friend's home down the street also. In the window looking out was Mildred. I took a chance and climed the steps to see her closer. I was now 67 years of age and there was no possible way she would recognize me from the last time I saw her in High School. But we talked through her window for a while and she invited me in. She knew I was legitimate from memories I shared and it was enough that she smiled in the time we spent that day. Frank found out that day that she would let any old straggler in and indeed improved security! LOL. She was as lovely and warm as ever and I loved her and remembered the entire family that day. She knew me from my first grade and every Huza eminated her warmth. I was blessed to have had such friends through childhood. And I pray for Mildred and the entire family now. Thank you Mildred.
