Obituary of Gladys Moran

Gladys Moran, age 86, passed away on February 10th, 2021. She was born in Puerto Rico, and then moved to New York where she met the love of her life, Pedro Moran. They got married on October 17th, 1953 and were married for 50 years.

Gladys was a women ahead of her times, opening and running her own business during a time when such things were unheard of. After she sold her business, she worked as a seamstress for many years. Always providing for her family, she gave her everything to her two beautiful daughters, Gladys and Mildred.

Her life was a living example of what a mother should be. Always kind, understanding and giving. Hard working and dedicated to her family. In a time of need, she was always there, with a gentle heart and a strong spirit.

Gladys was also, the life of the party! She was captivating, smart and witty who livened any room she walked into. She was simply beautiful, both inside and out.

Gladys is survived by her two daughters, Gladys Sarmiento and Mildred Figueroa with their husbands, Enrique Sarmiento and Ricardo Figueroa; her grandchildren, Daniel Rodriguez, Kelley Sarmiento, Angelica Figueroa and Matthew Figueroa. All of whom she loved and touched deeply.

Family gathering will be held Saturday, February 13 from 2:00 - 3:30 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.
