Obituary of Susan Elizabeth Calicchio
Susan Calicchio was called home on June 7, 2021, surrounded by love and prayer. She was born on February 7, 1951 to Helen and George Meyers in Brooklyn, NY where she would live and love her entire life. She grew up adoring her older brother Bob, whose friendship, love and guidance was invaluable throughout the years. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa and Chrissy, and their husbands Peter Maguire and Joseph Grasso, respectively. Susan was known as Mimi to her 7 wonderful grandchildren; Kyle, Jillian, Jenna, Ella, Grace, Vinny and Tom. She adored and was endlessly proud of all of them and found her greatest joy in their love. She will be reunited with her mother and father, and her beloved husband Vincent, who has been waiting to see his Suzie Q.
Many who loved her called her "Sue", "Aunt Sue" or "Aunt Suzie". She was always willing to share what she had, whether it was an uplifting word, funny story or sometimes her very last dollar. Her generous spirit lives on through organ donation, as she chose to donate her beautiful blue eyes.
Friends and family are invited to Marine Park Funeral Home on Wednesday June 9, 2021 as we share our love for the gift of Susan's love and friendship.. Please bring your fondest memories and any photos of Susan you would like to share. Funeral services will be held at Good Shepherd, 1950 Batchelder St Brooklyn NY, at 10:45 AM with Fr. Joseph Fonti.
