He named his rabbit 'Bugs" & owned a dog called 'Roof-us". Jon told me his dad would answer the telephone "Huza here! Who's there?" The Huzas lived on 36th Street, and I on 33rd. Jon, Frank Jr & I would hitch a ride to Nazareth High School packed into the front of Frank Senior's panel truck. Jon's mother cooked the best Lasagna that I have ever eaten! Working with Jon on Vans,
Motorcycles & cars, Gerritsen Beach, SCUBA Diving, girlfriends & Jon's hilarious jokes & humor...I never had a better friend and am deeply saddened.at learning of Jon's passing.
Jon & Marilyn were guests at my wedding & reception in Philadelphia. Katy and I pray for him.

Jon Huza- my "cuz". So many fond memories! He was the guy who said what everybody else was thinking; the guy with the crazy funny and politically charged emails; the guy who loved his family and the guy who would give you the shirt off his back!
As a young child, he, Frank and Mark were my "knights in shining armor". We were the oldest of the McQuillen family, lived 2 blocks away from each other and were always together, mostly at Grandma & Grandpa Mac's- along with my brother Artie and the older Carr kids. Who needed other friends??
Years later at the Mattituck family reunions, he became the "funny guy with the tattoos" to my kids and all the rest of the nieces and nephews. A wonderful legacy to leave behind!
He was so special- and will be loved and remembered always. God bless him and his family at this tough time.

I have so many fond memories of John - my first motorcycle ride around the block in Brooklyn, tattooing my kids at the family parties, so many great stories, meeting in Montauk just to name a few. Rest In Peace - you will be missed. Xoxo

I remember his Quick sense of humor, and his beautiful way with the children, bringing TATTOOS for them at Family ReunionS. He was a fun, gentle giant. Rest In Peace

Dear Grandpa, I am going to miss you so much, and I am so grateful for the time we spent together. I loved talking about the birds that you fed and teasing Matt-Matt. You taught me to have a good sense of humor and your jokes made me smile. I remember the first time we met Aunt Amanda and you told the fortune teller story about the dog and she freaked out - that was one of my favorites! And that you said, I would lose teeth for kissing boys! I am going to continue to make you proud. I want you to know that I will take care of your roses and when I look at them I will always think of you!

Note written to Grandpa on June 29th:
To Grandpa, I am sorry I am not able to see you. Thank you for all the support you have given me. Thank you for the times we went fishing, watched car shows, and the Hess trucks you bought me each Christmas. As you move on, I will be there for you no matter what. I am glad that you won't suffer anymore. I feel lucky that I had you because some people don't have good people to help them. You are one of those good people! I love you very much!
