I remember Mr. Abbate (to us) from Brooklyn in the early 70s. We would be invited by his daughter Linda who was performing in Ray Sahadi's local production of Godspell.
Ray, Wayne, Tony, and others in the cast were always respectful of "Mike" and his house and family. We watched the '72 Olympics from his home. I remember the sauce he would make. He would let it simmer for hours to get it just right. He was a kind and generous man; and a person who held our utmost respect. I wish his daughters and family peace at this time of loss. I remember him fondly.
