Sophie was an amazing woman! I always remember visiting Aunt Denise and Uncle Mike's house in Rockaway for the holidays and Sophie would be baking up a storm. She did everything to help out "little" Mike too while he was living with them. Sophie is very much a wonderful caring and selfless light of a soul. It is amazing to hear that she had so many siblings. Sophie, we appreciate you and all you have done for our family over all of these years. Rest peacefully! xox Julie & Tim

Sophie was a very special person and lived a life filled with caring for her family. Her beautifully written obituary shows us how important her family was and how much she was loved by her children, grand children and great grandchildren Thank you Sophie for your generous heart expressed in so many ways but especially by your amazing baking. They brought joy to each person who knew Sophie's cookies were would be part of the celebration. Your job was well done on earth and you passed along so much to all of us that we will keep in our hearts Time to Rest In Peace Regina

My sincere condolences to the family. My biggest memory of my little Sophia was when I came out the elevator and I saw her and I said Hi Sophia! She responded back you look good and she smiled as I gave her a hug and kiss on her forehead. Her eyes looked at me as if she saw an angel. I loved her with all my heart.

And she loved you. When she no longer recognized me as other than the person who brought strawberry banana shakes after the last stroke, I would see her smile to you and it filled my heart.

Dear Denise, Mike and all of Sophie’s family, My sincerest condolences. Sweet Sophie is free of any pain or worry now surrounded by her loved ones in Heaven. Her strong gentle spirit will live on in each of you. Thank you Denise for allowing me to be a part time care taker to your mom. She was a lovely lady . Always wanting to share all her the goodies you always had for her. God bless Sophie and all the Janezic family
