Obituary of Joseph Machado

Joseph Anthony Machado, lovingly known as Tony by family and friends, passed away in his sleep at age 82 on Monday, September 20th, 2021 while surrounded by his family.  Tony was born on July 17th, 1939 in Puerto Rico to parents Rosalia Torres and Jose Antonio Machado.  He came to the United States in the early 50s. Tony married Maria Isabel Perez, the love of his life and were married for over 52 years. Together they had 3 beautiful sons and 9 wonderful grandchildren. He was a great husband, wonderful father, caring grandfather, and good friend. He leaves his son William Machado and wife Randi, son Richard Machado and wife Daniela, daughter-in-law Maria, daughter Diane and sister Noemi Zamot. He was preceded in death by his spouse Maria Isabel in 2013 and his son Robert Michael in 2017. He will be sorely missed by his family and members of the community.

Forever in Our Hearts

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 2:00- 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home. 

Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church. 

Burial to immediately follow at Saint John Cemetery, Middle Village.
