To the family of Tom Moffitt ...These words of deepest sympathy are sent with the hope that, as time goes by, cherished memories will help bring you inner peace, and make Tom seem still very close to you. May the memories that mean the most to you live forever in your heart....Knowing Tom as long as we did, over 60 years, he was a good friend and will be greatly missed. Tom was in our wedding party, the Godfather to our daughter Laura, and a lifelong friend. We will miss you Tom, but you will always be in our hearts...Rest in Peace, good friend...Barbara & Tom Cantwell

My cousin, Tom, was a fun guy to have around and our family delighted in his company. He also was a well-read and thoughtful man who followed current events and never shied from offering his opinions.
Tom was a veteran of the US Army who served in Europe. As long as he was there, he took advantage of the opportunity. He told me he attended the 1960 Olympics in Rome and witnessed Rafer Johnson win the gold for the US in decathlon. Throughout his life, Tom would always be ready for a good time wherever that may be. Many of those good times happened in Florida and Colorado. Mum's the word.
Tom worked for the US Post Office until retirement. Tom lived in Brooklyn his whole life. It was home.
Tom was loved by his family, brothers, nieces and nephews, and cousins. He will be sorely missed.
