I remember taking care of my mother, preparing her lunch, and then walking the dog. Anthony was down the block, smiling and waving. He would tell me about his parents being lost in the war ,and how he found a home in the United States .He always had a good word for me, and made me laugh. I will always remember, a good person ,who cared for his community, and welcomed the new family on the block.

I first met Anthony when I moved onto Kimball Street. I was given two weeks to move into the house and the house was vacant. I would get off the number two and Anthony would be near his home at his gate greeting me with a smile. He would walk down to my house with me and continue on his walk for the day. When I left my house, I told him I hope the house will be ok as I got on the bus. Anthony smiled and he returned to my house to keep watch over it while I was gone. I would return to see him in front of my house taking in my garbage pails for my return. He always had beautiful stories of Italy and the world. He was and still is a beautiful man. I will truly miss him. But I also know that he is watching over me and his family. He is our Angel in Heaven now. And I know he will be watching over me, Diana, Pat, Rosemary, Christine, Brianna, Gino and all his family. The neighborhood will truly miss his presence. With love and gratitude to this wonderful family forever. God Bless You. And God Bless Anthony! Amen
