Obituary of Mary Ellen Kane

Mary E. Kane, age 85, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. 

She will be remembered with love, long after her passing. Her devotion to family and friends leaves many with warm memories – memories in which she lives on.

Mary was the daughter of the late Edward Dempsey and Helen (Broderick) Dempsey. 

Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Gerard Kane. 

She was the loving mother of Noreen Kane, Gerard Kane (Sharon), the late Johnny Kane, Christopher Kane (Dana) and Helen Mangan (Chris).

Cherished grandmother of Meghan, Keri, Jaimie, Kristen, Sean, Sophia and Jack.

Dear sister to the late Joan O'Neill (Edward) and the late Eddie Dempsey (Pat) and Sister Margaret Dempsey.  

Mary was cherished by her many nieces and nephews. 

Forever In Our Hearts

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Mary's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Reposing Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church, Brooklyn.

Burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village.
