Obituary of Stella Marino

A funeral service will be held in loving memory of Stella Marino, who passed away on March 13th, 2022. Mrs. Marino was 97 years old at the time of passing. Stella was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1924.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Giuseppe Marino, sister Jennie Marino, and daughter Joanna Marino. Stella is survived by her loving family of six children, Antonina Spanower, Lillian Marino, Catherine Marino, Joseph Marino, John Marino, and Rosemarie Marino. She is also survived by two daughters-in-law, Susan and Alicia, grandchildren Cheryl and David, great-grandchildren: Taylor, Colton, Grayson, Weston, and Raymond, and her nephew John Marino. 

Stella loved spending time with her children. Stella enjoyed having coffee, sharing a meal, playing cards, and being in a quiet room together watching TV. Stella could often be seen feeding the birds around her home. Above all, while Stella was a devoted family woman, she was passionate about her Catholic faith, a devout member of the Church, and loved attending the Saturday evening Mass. Stella is already missed and will always be remembered in the hearts of her loved ones.  

Forever In Our Hearts

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Stella's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Reposing Thursday, March 17 from 2:00 - 5:00 & 7:00 -9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 AM on Friday, March 18 at St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church, 1550 Hendrickson Street, Brooklyn.

Burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens.
