Obituary of Daniel E. Faughnan III
Daniel E. Faughnan III, originally of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on March 19, 2022, in Los Angeles, CA.
A funeral service will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas RC Church (1550 Hendrickson St., Brooklyn, NY 11234) on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 10:30 am.
Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery in Wading River, NY 11792.
Visitation will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home (3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY 11234) on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm.
Daniel was born in Brooklyn, NY to Daniel E. Faughnan Jr. and Roberta A. Faughnan on March 26, 1955. He went to High School at Nazareth Regional High School and graduated in 1973. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in 1977. He served his country for over 13 years in the Marine Corps, rising to the rank of Captain.
Daniel is the beloved son of Roberta, brother of Roberta, Susan, Brian (Eileen), Lorraine, Gregory (Theresa), Christopher (Elizabeth), Gerard and Christian (Victoria), and uncle of Wayne (Danielle), Daniel, Sean, Christian, Kevin, Kelly, and Ryan.
He is preceded in death by his father Daniel and his brother William.
