Obituary of Robert Michael Spero

Robert Michael Spero, age 80, of Summerton, SC departed this life on April 6, 2022. Mr. Spero was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on July14, 1941, to John and Josephine (Gentile) Spero.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of over 50 years, Carol Ann (Karlson) Spero. He was the cherished father of Alyse Spero-Geremia, Robert J. Spero and his son in law Robert Geremia. He will be greatly missed by his 2 adoring grandchildren Adrianna and Vincent Geremia.

He also leaves behind his brother Capt. Joseph Spero and his wife Carolyn of VA. and his loving sister in law Joan Karlson of Brooklyn. Along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews he leaves behind many good friends.

We thank you for all of your love, support and friendship all of these years.

Forever In Our Hearts

Calling hours will be Monday, April 18, 2022 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be on Tuesday, April 19, at 9:45 AM at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 430 Avenue W, Brooklyn, NY.

Burial to immediately follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Tyler Street, East Haven, CT.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
