Obituary of Fernande Louis

Fernande Simone Louis, or Tati Simone as some of us know was an amazing mother, sister, aunt, godmother, cousin, and friend to so many. She was someone who would welcome you with a dazzling smile, and a laughter that you could feel deep in your bones. You could sit with her and talk about anything and everything. She was silly as she was kind, always ready to burst into dance or crack a funny joke. She was just as fierce in her love. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her can say that her love for those around her was as big as the world itself. Fernande, age 57 was one of 11 children born to Fleurencia Fleurival and Cyprien Fleurival. Born and raised in Baradères, Haiti, she moved to Port-Au-Prince for education. She later emigrated to the United States, settling in Brooklyn, New York. She married Baseler Louis and gave her life to her work and her family. When not taking care and supporting her patients, she was loving and supporting family both in America and Haiti. She was an amazing mother to Vanessa Jerome, and a pillar for her surviving siblings: Yolande Fleurival, Joseph Fleurival, Gertha Fleurival and Jhonson Fleurival. She was loved by her countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren. Her capacity to give was unfathomable. She will be greatly missed by us all. May she sleep peacefully and comfortably as she deserves in God's embrace.

Reposing Friday, April 29 from 4-9 at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:45 AM on Saturday, April 30 at St. Therese of Lisieux R.C. Church, 1281 Troy Avenue, Brooklyn.

Burial to follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, New York.
