Mr. Summa was like a father to me and so many others who were good friends of his son John Jr. Mr. Summa was always so friendly and warm and welcoming. Such a good family man and an excellent role model to many. May he Rest In Peace. Prayers for his wonderful wife Loretta and daughter Jennifer and all their family and friends.

I can remember my first meeting with John ,he was welcoming, kind, funny, professional, insightful, generous, respectful, thoughtful, warm, charismatic and had the biggest Blue Eyes, lol. That was 27 years ago and in those 27 years he had become much more than a boss to me, he has become family. He would always have a joke for you to bring a smile to your face on a stressful day. He always gave you love and support in the most trying of times and he was there for most of mine. He was a true gentleman who made every client feel special and important. He did everything with class and made every occasion memorable. He was a Legend in the Title industry, and one of the few with true integrity. He believed in his "traditions" and doing the right thing !. He believed in the way things used to be back in the good old days, which is where I assume the" Vintage" in Vintage Abstract Corp came from. He had a great love for his Yankees, but that was nothing compared to the love he had for his family. When he became a grandfather, it brightened up his life and enlarged his big heart even more. He made every person he loved know it and he was truly loved by all. He will be remembered with love, respect and admiration for the rest of my days. Thank you John for all of the great memories and thank you Loretta , Jennifer and Jr. for sharing him with me ♡

It's difficult to put into words what a sweet, kind and generous man John was, I worked for him for over 20 years, he taught me professionalism, compassion and always to make the customer comes first. He appreciated hard work and dedication and always made a point to show his appreciation. Many of my life milestones were at Vintage, first job out of college, getting married and the adoption of my son. Both John and Loretta were like family to me and were part of all those celebrations
.
I admired John's love of family, his wife and children were everything to him.
Gentle man, you will be missed and will always hold a special part of my heart and memories.
Love, Virginia

I recall Mr. Summa very well, as the owner of Vintage Abstract on Flatbush Avenue. At the time, I worked for O'Rourke and Friedman and the two companies interacted often. Mr. Summa was an intelligent, polite man and my condolences go to his family and friends.

Dad, I am so proud to be your daughter. I am the luckiest girl in the world to have had a father like you. Your love for John and I was unconditional. You worked tirelessly to provide for your family. You were selfless and always put others first. I will miss you so much. Give John a great big hug from me.
