Its hard to believe its been 2 years, I still remember all the fun times, my brother Tim and I still talk about the old times, like you are still here. We wish you were here, your not forgotten buddy.

Jim was a true family man and a Company man. He worked hard every day at “the Gas Company” and was a “Hall of Flame” leader and personal friend. On behalf of National Grid/KeySpan/Brooklyn Union Gas, we offer our deepest condolences to the Brandow family and thank you for sharing Jim with us for 40 wonderful years. Ken Daly

From the day I first met Jim (about 25 years ago) at a B.U.G./KeySpan meeting, he was a gentleman who was very easy to talk with. His gentle and kind manner continued throughout the years. It is a pleasure knowing Jim and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Jimmy was my friend, my buddy, my brother from another mother. We first met in kindergarten, although I didn't know it til later. I have many memories- singing " Brown eyed Girl", talking baseball and music (he had an encyclopedic knowledge of do-wop), dancing in the Dublin's pub,
cruising with Jim and Desmond, and just hanging out. He loved his country, his family Josette, Michelle, and Jimmy and all whom he met. I will dearly miss you my brother. As your dad would say, you was "good people"!

Dear the Brandow Family, I’m sending out my Condolences, your Husband and Dad was an amazing Guy. I’ve known Jimmy since 1985 working in the Jamaica Office from AEO-GEI, Wow what an amazing journey we had. Everyone was family at that time, the most memorable time for me was when My Husband was leaving the area for better things, and I gave a party and your Dad came out. I have to share this photo that meant the world to me. Your dad is in this picture.

Hearing of Jimmy’s passing, is a shock, I have known Jim since Grammar School, at Resurrection. We went To High School together, at Sheepshead Bay HS, and in the late 1970’s went in to the US Navy together, I even worked with his Dad, Big Jim Sr. when I was a Cop.
Jim always made me laugh, even when we weren’t together, I would laugh about the things we did.
As we all know, friends of your youth, are your friends forever, no matter how distant, and how much time passes as we get older, Jim was the best friend.
I know that as a Husband, Father, Son and Brother, he was even better, he was great. Jimmy came from a Great family, who always followed their Heart, and there Catholic Faith.
Jim, I wish we had one more laugh together, though I morn your passing, I treasure the memories.
And too Jim’s family, I am very sorry for your loss, Please Remember, A heart is not measured by how much you Love, but by how much you are Loved by others, Jim was truly Loved by anyone who ever met him.
God Bless You, Brother
