Obituary of Antoinette Bordoni

The loving family of Antoinette Bordoni is sad to announce her passing on July 30, 2022, at the age of 102 years.  Antoinette “Nettie”  was a seamstress in Brooklyn, retiring at 86 years of age. She was married to Valerio until his death in 1978,  beloved mother to Genevieve Ferguson and Marie Passaro (the late Frank Passaro, Sr.) until their deaths in 1987 and 2018. She is survived by her son-in-law Kenneth Ferguson and her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Her Grandchildren are Kenneth and his wife Gina, Edward and his wife Eileen, Valerie and her husband John, Frances and the late Kevin O’Neill, Antoinette and her husband Rob, Frank and his wife Shannon, and James and his wife Bernadette.

 She is also survived by many Great Grandchildren, Ryan and Genevive Ferguson, Lauren and Emma Ferguson, Thomas, Julianne, William and Kenneth Mc Nally, John F, Mc Carthy, and Annmarie O’Neill, Anthony, Victoria, Isabella, and Frankie Passaro,  Nathaniel, Adrienne, and Riley Ferguson and Ava Passaro.  

Antoinette was best known as Nettie by her friends and lovingly Nanny by any of her grandchildren and any children that lived in the neighborhood.  Her favorite pastime was spending time with friends and family.  However, she was first and foremost a lover of life, always having a positive attitude as well as a fantastic bingo player and a terrific bowler.  She not only enjoyed sports, she happily cooked for her family throughout her life.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Antoinette’s soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest in Peace. Amen.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 2:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 10:30AM at St. Bernard R.C. Church, 2055 East 69th Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Burial to immediately follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale.
