Obituary of Janet Carol Rizzi

Janet Carol Rizzi was born on August 22, 1944.  Ms. Rizzi grew up in Park Slope, Brooklyn.  She moved to Gerritsen Beach in 1967 and loved her life on Lester Court. Ms. Rizzi worked as a medical assistant and attended Kingsborough College in her retirement taking classes in computers and photography.  She was often seen in the neighborhood walking her beloved dogs and tending her garden.  For decades, Ms. Rizzi was a competitive bowler and participated in multiple leagues.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter Jeannine Rizzi Perry and her husband Christopher Perry.  Her grandchildren are Jordan Rizzi, Cedric Perry, and Corra Perry.  Her brothers Harold Mckee, Jimmy McKee with his wife Joyce, and her sister-in-law, Marie Rizzi.  She will be missed by her friends that she considered family.

The visitation will take place Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Green-Wood Cemetery - the funeral procession will be departing the funeral home by 10:30 AM.
