Obituary of Marylu D. Collins

Marylu D. Collins passed away on September 13, 2022. She was 70 years old. Marylu was the beloved daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Collins. Marylu was the cherished sister of Genie (Richard) Jackson and Walter Collins. She was the loved aunt of Elizabeth (Tyler), Kenneth (Emma), and Suzanne; and the great-aunt to Mallen, Jackon, Josephine, and Lucas. Marylu was a retired Assistant Principal with the NYC Board of Education, ending her career at Dyker Heights Junior High School. Marylu was an active parishioner at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, often times acting as the lector at Mass. Marylu will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The visitation for Marylu D. Collins will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 10:30 AM - the family will be gathering at the funeral home by 9:30 AM.
