Dearest Brenda,
You moved in next door as a young bride. My sister Pat and I were in awe of you. We must have been around 11 and 9 years old, and we thought you were the coolest person on the planet. You were always available to have a chat and together we shared many, many events throughout the years. You became family. Throughout the years, time and distances separated us, but we always stayed connected. When my siblings and I no longer had our home next door, you took us in to spend the night when we were in town. Your generosity and hospitality knew no bounds. I remember your fabulous Christmas cookies - I still have the tin you filled up for me with one cookie of each kind. I remember how we used to phone chat every now and then, and how I admired your fortitude and positivity as you struggled with your illness. I will miss you so much. Rest in peace my dear friend; you are with the angels now.

Brenda was one of the nicest person I had the pleasure of knowing. I knew her since I was 14 years old. She lived in the house attached to my husband Jeffrey. We had so many good times, taking on the porch in the back yard. Sunday dinners and her baking was the best. Brenda was a great friend to the Smith family. She was FAMILY!! I will miss you dear friend, RIP my friend, you will be missed so very much. Love Lenora
