I am the owner of the cottage up on Lake Champlain that your father rented so often. In fact, I was concerned when I didn't hear from him this year and afraid of what that might mean. What I feared was confirmed when I found his obituary Two details matched things I knew about Steve from emails we exchanged. That he worked at DCAS and had a son named Joe. I am so very sorry for your and your family's loss, and I'm sad I never got a chance to meet him. He was kind, friendly and so respectful of our cottage. It made me happy to rent to him because he loved it so much. It is a special place to us and I knew we didn't have to worry at all when Steve was there. I'm so sorry to learn of his passing.
