Obituary of Mary Laterza
Mary Laterza, age 96, of Brooklyn entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Mary was born October 18, 1926 in Lake Mahopac, New York. She is the daughter of the late Patrick and the late Anna (Dolan) Boddey. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Michael Laterza.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Mary. Her hobbies and interests included her family, Atlantic City, horse racing, dancing and bus trips to Kings Plaza Mall for some shopping.
Mary’s greatest passion of all was Nursing, she dedicated 43 years to her nursing career.
Everyone at the hospital knew Mary as Ms. Boddey. Mary has touched so many people in her professional and personal life with her big heart, she will be greatly missed.
Loving mother of Marco R. Laterza (Tina) and Maria D. Pagani (Robert). Cherished grandmother of Stephanie, Joseph and Theresa. Dear great grandmother of Jack, Julian and James. Treasured sister of Eileen, Ellie, Katie and Bobby.
Forever In Our Hearts
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Mary's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Reposing Sunday, January 22 from 2:00 - 7:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, January 23 at St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church, 1550 Hendrickson Street, Brooklyn.
Burial to follow at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale.
