My sincere condolences to the Kelly family. I met Mr Kelly back in 1981-82, when I worked with his daughter Patty in Alexander’s Restaurant The Apple Tree and soon became her boyfriend. Her family welcomed me in and treated me as part of the family. Mrs Kelly made the best chicken and dumplings I’ve ever had. They were the traditional Irish American catholic family. Very close knit and loving with strong family values and morals. There hime was open to anyone at anytime. I remember going to New Rochelle with Matthew for the Iona football games. I ran into Billy many times as a young cop in the NYC police department when he was a detective. I also found out that Mr Kelly worked with my next door neighbor, my best friends dad Bob Denver at the telephone company. Many years later I ran into Mr Kelly at the AOH Hibernian hall in Gerritsen beach and we struck up a conversation and made me still feel like I was part of the family. It saddened me very much to hear about his passing. My prayers are with Mrs Kelly, Patty, Maureen, Eileen, Colleen, Billy, Matthew and Michael. May Mr Kelly Rest In Peace. George Reynolds.

I met Bill many years through my brother Al and the Good Shepherd Sports Progam.. From that day on my life was graced with friendship of Bill AND Marie. I have admired them till present. Bil was a man's man but more so an example of how a husband should be. I have looked up to them till. this present day. My heart hurts for the Kelly Family.
