Obituary of John Honan
It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Honan shares his passing on February 6, 2023. John passed peacefully surrounded by his family.
John was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn. Born on December 11, 1949, John was the youngest son of Martin and Catherine Honan. He enjoyed bowling, collecting tools and CDs, and his favorite past time was spending time with his family and friends.
He will always be remembered for his lighthearted nature and his generous spirit. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph Honan. He is survived by his daughter Meredith D'Agostino and her husband Peter, his daughters Lauren Honan and Jessica Honan, his four grandchildren McKenna D'Agostino , Matthew Watts, Kayleigh Watts and Kyle D'Agostino, his sister Mary and her husband Roger Canarutto, his brother Martin Honan and his wife Ruth, and his partner Marion Mandel as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Wake service will be on Wednesday February 8, 2023 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home. 3024 Quentin Road Brooklyn, NY 11234, 718-339-8900.
Prayer service will be on Wednesday February 8, 2023 at 7:30 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home.
Committal service will be on Thursday February 9, 2023 at St. Charles Cemetery. Our arrival time will be approximately 11:00 AM. 2015 Wellwood Avenue Farmingdale, NY 11735.
