I will always remember how loving and welcoming Barbara was with my son Joshua, and how everytime he came to visit her, she always baked him something. You were a great woman Barbara and will forever be missed.

My deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and dear friend. Barbara and I met over 25 years ago during our tenure at The Brooklyn College Library.
Barbara was an amazing and kind-hearted woman in every sense. She was always eager to lend a helping hand and always there to listen.
In addition to her countless friends and colleagues, Barbara's greatest love was the time she spend with her immediately family: Jessica, Nick, Elijah and of course, her special sister, Adele. She will be sorely missed!
May Barbara rest in sweet peace.

Barbara aka Madre I can’t begin to say how much you meant to me. Alway had a smile on your face and a loving hug. You will be missed greatly. I know you are now watching over your babies and all those you loved. Sleep in peace mama. You will live on always in heart and mind. Love you always, Liz

Barbara in your last month you were surrounded by the warmth and strength of people who loved and prayed for you. They hoped and prayed for a complete recovery but you were just too tired and couldn't keep up the fight. I am confident that your mother and father were waiting for you and they will keep you safe. Till we meet again. Santa

Barbara and I have been friends since junior high school. We have shared many good times together over the years. She has always been a fun, loving person whom I felt as close to as a sister. I will miss her dearly.
