It’s still doesn’t seem real to me. Pete was just on the phone talking to you and seeing what you needed before he went to visit. I was in the same room yelling into the phone to hurry the heck up and get well. The very next day Pete got the call you had passed away. I couldn’t believe it, nor could Pete. Eddie you are truly one of a kind and loved by all. KIND….is what comes to mind when I think of you. It won’t be the same without you, without the constant texts back and forth with you and Pete during hockey and other sports. I already miss you . You’re one of a kind and truly an amazing, caring guy! Our hearts are hurting and Pete is going to be lost without his forever buddy.

Ed
Words can't express the hurt we are all feeling right now. All the good times we have enjoyed bowling-darts-softball-golf and many other things. Especially the way you stepped up to help your brother Michael when he had health problems. Especially the way you took over as Grand Knight of Lasalle Council even though you had health problems of your own.
May God speed you into his Kingdom and grant you eternal rest.
We all love you and miss you dearly. Rest in peace our brother until we all meet again.
Love You always Donna & Gerry

Eddie and his dad were a big part of our family. His dad was part of my dad and uncles crowd and Eddie was part of Jerry's. Eddie was one of the nicest people. He always had a smile for you. I hadn't seen Eddie in years, but the last time I did, he gave me the biggest hug. Rest well my friend. Love Ann Linekin-Kenute

Whenever Eddie’s name came up .. when we were in our teens and now in our 60’s .. I always smile. He was and remained one of the good guys .. always caring, always thoughtful and always genuine. I hadn’t seen Eddie in years but when my dad passed he was there. As I walked to the back of the church there he stood .. just caring. It meant so much that he did that for me. But that was who he was - that was his character. I remembered how much he loved his dad and remember their strong bond. He knew my pain in that moment and went out of his way to be kind. Always kind. Over the years We had good times at the KofC and Hollywood Knights .. always made sure the girls got home safe back in the day. I’m sorry we grew distant as we aged .. if we take anything away from this loss .. let it be to get in touch with those you miss and love. Love you Eddie McGrath. You were a good man. RIP

I am very sorry to hear of Eddie’s passing. His dad was one of my father and uncle’s best friends over the years. I saw Eddie several years ago at a New York Ranger event over by Madison Square Garden. I got to chat with him for a while . May he rest in peace.
