Obituary of Alice G. Bitoff
Alice Grace Bitoff POOH passed away peacefully on Saturday June 24, 2023, surrounded by her sister, nieces and nephew and her best buddy Oatmeal. Born in Brooklyn, New York on August 3, 1937, she was the daughter of the late John "Jack" Bitoff and Elizabeth Sullivan. She was employed by New York Telephone (Verizon) for over 40 years. She was predeceased by her nephew, Keith Gregory MacCormack who was killed by a drunk driver in 1984. Pooh is survived by her brother Rear Admiral John W. Bitoff, United States Navy (RET) (Maureen) of San Francisco, CA; a sister Elizabeth B. MacCormack (Tommy), Freehold, NJ. Pooh is also survived by two nephews and four nieces in whose lives she was most influential, Bryan Sullivan MacCormack (Kari) Boston, MA; Elizabeth Alice Odom (Mark) Washington, DC; Amy Elizabeth Handley Long Beach, NY; Alice Nicole O'Connor ALICOLE (Timothy) Freehold, NJ; John Thomas MacCormack Brick NJ; and Megan Suzanne MacCormack (David) Brick, NJ. Pooh is also survived by five great nieces and three great nephews, Carly Morgan and Justin Keith MacCormack Boston, MA; Katherine Grace Odom, Washington, DC; Frederick Sullivan Handley, Long Beach, NY; Adriana Grace 'AG' Pagan, Brick, NJ; Grace Sullivan O'Connor, Freehold NJ; Kennedy Noel and Pooh's Prince... Mac David Beaton, Brick, NJ; and very dear lifelong friends, Tisha DiNome and Susie Picarelli.. her 34th Street gals. Pooh will be remembered as a selfless, loving, generous, devoted, fun, hilarious wise cracking Sister, Aunt, Great Aunt and just an incredible individual. She will be missed terribly by all who were so lucky to have her as a part of their lives.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May Alice's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Reposing on Thursday, July 6 from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM and Friday, July 7 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:45 AM on Saturday, July 8 at Good Shepherd R.C. Church, 1950 Batchelder Street, Brooklyn.
Burial to immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn.
