Obituary of Dominic D. Derasmo

Dominic D. Derasmo, 94, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023. Mr. Derasmo was born April 3, 1929, in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Nicholas and the late Vincenza (nee Fasano) Derasmo.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a retired NYPD officer.

Mr. Derasmo is the cherished brother of the late Irene Derasmo, the late Pasquale Derasmo, Grace Ranelli and Vincenza Kureczka.

Uncle of Nicholas, Maryann, Denise, Suzanne, Jennifer, Nicole, Lisa and Billy.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Mr. Derasmo's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Calling hours will be Thursday, July 20 from 8:30 - 10:00 AM at Marine Park Funeral Home, Inc., 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday at St. Thomas Aquinas R.C. Church, 1550 Hendrickson Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Burial to immediately follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens on Thursday, July 20 at 10:30 am.
