Obituary of Nicholas Zanetakos
We are sad to announce the passing of Nicholas Zanetakos, beloved father of Christopher and Stefanie Zanetakos. Nicholas died on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at the age of 81. He fought a long, tough battle with Parkinsons disease.
Nicholas was a resident of Marine Park for 50 years.
In 1952, Nick immigrated to this country from Greece with his family when he was only nine years old.
As a young man he excelled in school and was dedicated to achieving the true American dream. Nick overcame many obstacles in his personal life and eventually became a successful entrepreneur in the restaurant and food industry.
Nick's dedication, strong resolve, and tenacity were an inspiration to his two children who he would care for and protect at all costs.
Nick was an intelligent and insightful man who could engage anyone he met in a conversation on a multitude of topics. His strong opinions and knowledge on current events always made the conversation entertaining and challenged you to think more deeply about the topic at hand.
Nicholas was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
May His Memory Be Eternal.
