Obituary of John M. Shatesky Jr.

John M. Shatesky, Jr., age 43, of Brooklyn entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 28, 2023. John was born January 25, 1980 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of John M. and Joan P. (Cousin) Shatesky. Loving brother of the late Josh M. Shatesky.

Beloved friend of many. John will be dearly missed by all.

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,

Of happy times and laughing times

and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;

Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May John's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Reposing Thursday, August 10 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.

Catholic Prayer Service on Thursday at 5:30 PM.

Burial will be held on Friday August 11  at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village at 12:00 PM.
