Obituary of Patricia Jean Meadus

Patricia Meadus beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully on Aug 7, 2023. With her children at her side, she fought a long battle with Cancer.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Meadus, a Vietnam Veteran.  She is survived by her children James Meadus, his wife Amanda, their daughter Madison, Patricia’s other son Scott Meadus and his girlfriend Jamee O’Brien. Patty was a graduate of Wilkes University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in journalism as well as Associate degrees in applied sciences. She  was employed at the Pocono Record for many years. Patricia was an avid volunteer giving of her time, energy, and resources to her community by being apart of programs such as the PTA, Vietnam Veterans of America Organization, and volunteer with Valor. Patricia enjoyed spending time with friends and family talking over a cup of coffee. Patricia loved life and lived it fully without complaint. She was a loving humble woman yet her presence commanded dignity and respect everywhere she went. She was deeply loved by all who knew her, and will be dearly missed.

The visitation for Patricia Jean Meadus will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church (185 Van Sicklen St, Brooklyn, NY 11223) on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 9:45 AM.

The Committal Service will immediately follow the Funeral Mass at Calverton National Cemetery.
